Best Pie in KL or PJ

A Pie Thing @ 128G, Jalan SS21/35, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Everyone knows the best pies in the world are in New Zealand, specifically Miles Better Pies at Te Anau.Don't believe me Google its reviews.Mostly because kiwis like to use puff pastry instead of shortcrust pastry.Puff pastry is harder to make as a pie crust, but the end result is a light soft fluffy texture, delicious.

However I am here to talk about a shop in PJ called A Pie Thing.Probably the best pie one can get in Malaysia.

I ordered a Chunky steak pie,a Pulled lamb pie,Chicken mushroom pie,Smores pie and a Peanut butter pie.The nicest one was the Smores. You can opt a topping of gravy, mash or peas for additional cost.
Pros:
  • Nice soft fillings for savoury pies
  • The sweet pies are pretty and delicious
  • Mash and gravy on the pies are good

Cons:
  • On the pricey side
  • Limited opening hours(4-11pm)
  • Shortcrust pastry for savoury pies made the crust gritty and bland tasting
  • Found a bone in my pulled lamb pie

Pros:
~zebu steak pie was delicious inside
